A simple classic Barbour on a crisp fall day. I LOVE this stately longer length. She looks gorgeous in this jacket.  Calm, Warm and Collected! Her horse is beautiful as well- for the jacket go by Circle Seven in Madison Ms and inquire or check out www.circle7online.com

His Jacket looks like a classic Barbour also. A sturdy outdoor jacket of high quality that will last a man a lifetime.

Really Love this black Barbour with lime vest!

Pretty Pretty!! A white sweater with jeans, camel moccasins and headband are just too cute. These warm colors of fall put me in the mood for such things as popcorn and hot chocolate with whipped cream on top. Yummy colors! I also love this caramel suede hat and honey colored scarf. Horseshow styles are just my favorite whether they are judges or girls riding their bikes around the show grounds on their day off from showing. For the moccasins you can visit Maison Weiss in Jackson or Oxford Ms. or call 601-981-4621 and ask for Irene in shoes. For this look see the  Manolo Blahnik Driver Moccasins in suede-color Hazel. - www.maisonweiss.com

Mistletoe Sneaky Peek!!!  OH MY GOSH!!Horseshow Moms LOOK at this!!! I spied this in a sneak peak at Mistletoe and was smitten with this new product! Original Designer Food Carriers! They have one for casseroles too. What a great way to bring that pie, cake, potluck casserole or dip to the next Horseshow. There is even one for deviled eggs! This Precious couple from California designed and produced this great product. They are soooo sweet and I absolutely LOVE this! I would get there early and go straight to their booth if I were you. (Ps. they are right behind Tay Cossar Morgans booth and you know she has the cutest things too so double fun) Not to mention- what a great way to take food anywhere! They have a non skid surface so the pie will not move around and the fabric spot cleans with ease. I love this and yep-Her family is originally from Jackson -born and raised- so that makes her "our people"!! I would Love Them no matter where they are from.- and if your from out of town and cant make Mistletoe check this out..www.vonny.com

Around the barn we call our cookbook Across the Tack Trunk but sometimes the recipe is IN the tack trunk! Though this cute guys mouth is watering for a stashed grilled cheese- our mouths are watering for some pumpkin cake pie!!!
(This recipe makes 2 pies or 1 - 9x13 cake)

Pumpkin Cake Pie

1 - 15 oz can of pumpkin
3 eggs beaten
1 cup of sugar
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1 and 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
1 -5oz can evaporated milk

        Topping

1 box of yellow butter cake mix
1 cup of pecans
1 and 1/2 sticks of butter

Mix all ingredients but topping and divide equally into two pie pans... ( you can make ONE 9 x 13 inch cake pan if you choose) Sprinkle 1/2 box of cake mix on one pie and repeat to second pie..
Sprinkle 1/2 cup of pecans on each pie. divide
melted butter and drizzle equal parts onto each pie.
Bake 350 for 1 hour! enjoy. Its way yummy! ( and looks better than this pic!)  and yep...It was gone in an hour!

Farrier is defined as - a specialist in equine hoof care. We call him Leslie Falvey! The farrier association was first organized in 1356 and received a Royal Charter of Inc. in 1674. Its so important for our horses to have good hoof care. Like any athlete who spends a lot of time on their feet our horses are on their toe nails if we were to compare anatomy! Our friends need to be in tip top shape while jumping fences so We - in the Jackson Miss area- are blessed to have two great farriers! Leslie Falvey and John Weaver. Today Leslie was there and though NOT AT ALL happy with me trying to catch that Falvey smile... as he HATES his pic taken..was overall a good sport! Love those blue eyes, blue hat and that tattoo is just too cool for words! Love the hammer and anvil and the noise of steel on aluminum ; sparks flying as they get the fit just right! Only people who love horses understand the mesmerizing effect it has as we sit on our tack trunks watching someone use his God given talent,
training and hard work to help our beloved horses stay fit.... Leslie lives in Brookhaven Ms with his wife and two beautiful children. He also works for the Brookhaven Police Dept and helps coach his sons baseball in his spare time. Thanks Leslie and yep--- John Weaver -Ill get you yet!

Do NOT take my picture!!

This is the best smile he would give me!!

New shoes today---BATH tomorrow!!!
