Texas Hunter Breeding Champion Three Year Old

Congratulations to Ryan T, owned by Jamie Martin and handled/ridden by Hannah Evans, winning $2,737.50 as the Texas Hunter Breeding Final Champion Three Year-Old, Reserve Best Young Horse, and Reserve Champion Three Year-Old Freestyle Performance Horse! Ryan T is by Richmond T and out of Countess Catherine.                                                                     

"The Super Series Group, established in 2012, is owned by partners Colleen McQuay, Patrick Rodes, Pauline Cook, and Peter Pletcher. Joining forces to accomplish their common goal of growing the Texas Hunter industry, the group's first project was the Texas Pre-Green Super Stake Series, launched in 2012 and a major success since that time. The series served as a pilot for the USHJA National Pre-Green Incentive, which was launched in 2013. Enrollees in the Texas Pre-Green Series have earned an impressive $375,000, and payout from the series increases annually. Launched in March of 2015, the new Texas Hunter Breeding Super Series was designed to feed into the Texas Pre-Green Program. The Hunter Breeding Series payout in its first year is anticipated to pay out more than $20,000, offering cash bonuses and Final Championship payout to Yearlings, Two Year-Olds, and Three Year-Olds." I have a Crush on Henri Lou

I admit it- I have a crush on Henri Lou. I was smitten the first time I met Henri several years ago in Oxford Miss. A friend of my daughters, who happened to be a California girl, gifted  all the girls a Henri lou™ bracelet for graduation. (thank you Kendall Caldwell)  When she  gave me one as well-  that was it! I was hooked! I called the designer the next week and got the scoop-  Reagan and her husband while vacationing stopped through the ghost town of Calico, CA and visited an old saddle shop filled with leather and Western wears. Run by a man named Henry and his wife, Lou (hence that name), the shop inspired Reagan’s first hand-knotted bracelet. And the rest goes from there -- inspired jewelry line, perfect ! Little Lamb and J Rod Photography

 I met a photographer yesterday- Jana Rodriques . I was on my way to the stables and saw such an adorable sight.  She was set up in a park area near our home and had a little lamb! She was kind enough to share these photos. My heart melts at the sight of a pony so I was in a puddle with the little lamb. What a great idea and fabulous photos!
