I absolutely love Ann Blackwell and her Love, Nina Jane Jewelry line!! Funny how I can meet someone and like them so much THEN find out they LOVE horses!!! That is what happened twenty years ago when I met Anne!.. and to find out that she is having a trunk showing of her fabulous jewelry at Treehouse Boutique-( of which I and all the the barn peeps love to wear even while we are riding)--- well you know I had to be there! Funny thing-- We ride in the rain and we can model in the rain!! What Rain??? Who cares!!! If there is no lightening the show goes on and true with this show.  Once again people lined up at 9:30 AM to see her new jewelry. Look at those dreamy bracelets! Perfect with a tee and riding breeches!  SO much fun !..and even ran into a friend Charlotte Noble! ...yep we used to ride horses together many years ago! gotta love those horses and the people who love them! the show goes on today and tomorrow... Wow - What a BEAUTIFUL save the date for a Horseshow and its right here in MISSISSIPPI!  It truly is a work of art! In fact I hung it on the refrigerator and that is a place reserved for baby Caroline and baby Patrick art only! SO- I am impressed! I hope I get  to see the original painting done for this premier equestrian event! It will be at the Harrison County Fairgrounds & Equestrian Center in Gulfport, Miss. - February 5 - March 16, 2014. Even if you dont ride horses its sure to be a FUN time with National Hunter Derbies and a Grand Prix every week! With that kind of prize money offered- Its sure to attract lots of fun people and BEAUTIFUL horses. With Gulfport being my husbands hometown I just might get lucky and get to go ! What could be better than family and horses!!  Thank you Gulf Coast Winter Classics for creating and providing such a beautiful invitation and event! for more info - go to www.GulfCoastClassicCompany.com

While our children might take a nap on the tack trunk we swap a recipe or two! Ive told my family that if I Loved cooking as much as I love horses they would be a well fed bunch! I love horses more than cooking but love my kids too so I had to compromise! A quick easy recipe I always try- the good ones I keep! Butterscotch crackle is a favorite in the fall and works great as that special treat tucked away in their lunch bags for school. My husband loves it too so in that Im very lucky!

          Butterscotch Crackle
48 saltine crackers
12 oz butterscotch pieces
1 cup brown sugar ( packed)
2 full sticks of real butter
1/2 cup nuts( optional)
jelly roll pan

Line the pan with foil ( spray foil with Pam) Spread crackers in one layer on foil . in medium saucepan melt butter and sugar and cook 3 minutes from first boil ( medium boil) stirring often. Pour butter sugar mixture over crackers and bake at 375 for 5 minutes-- Remove from oven and spread butterscotch pieces and smooth with knife as they melt. ---Put the pan in the refrigerator  for 2 - 3 hours. Remove and peel back foil and break into pieces with your hands. Easy and Yum!

A lightweight Barbour waxed jacket seems to be the perfect choice for a cool morning. I especially love the lower length and shape in the back. It  makes for the perfect jacket of choice for riding on those damp cool mornings and even when the sun is out! This equestrian inspired lining just makes it even better for me. Its an Emily Bond design and fabric! What could be better!!!  ...Yep..its Circle Seven .. Circle Seven in Madison takes my breath away with their dreamy outdoor clothes. When just the lining grabbed my attention I knew I was in trouble.  I dropped by to see if they had any mens vests ?? an article of clothing my husband needs at the moment when UH OH--- They were unpacking womens and mens new Barbour jackets!  Betty Parry of Circle Seven was a good sport and let me take her pic in this gorgeous Purdey ladies tweed jacket with inverted pleat and the Duberry boot. Needless to say--it was a fun time to drop by! Michael Potts made it even more fun if that were even possible! Circle Seven makes you feel like you are at that special  hunting lodge or barn gathering. You just want to take a seat and stay awhile. That wasnt possible today but hopefully in a few I will go back and steal some shots of those Barbour jackets  stacked so neatly in clear plastic just waiting to come out and hang there with those fun and sweet people !!! if you want to check them out drop by Circle Seven (  by Beagle Bagel in Madison) or to shop on line go to www.circle7online.com
